RE ST: Pi Zero and Pi Zero W availability

Thu Mar 22, 2018 10:23 am

Re: above (viewtopic.php?f=63&t=188011), per customer or per store?

I already have a Pi ZW but recently ordered a 12 month subscription to MagPi. Will I still receive my Pi ZW as part of the subscription?

Other posts contradict that RaTTuS.

go and order from your favourite online shop, then order another the next day
or order from 2 shops each day
you'll pay postage on top but that's a small price to pay
you can get more if you buy the ones with headers on them [they do cost more]

I'm aware of all of what you post and completely understand that one per customer is totally unmanageable, I was merely looking for assurance for others.

Do you really expect the magpi subscription system tries to track down all sales of PI Zero's so they can withhold the one included in the subscription???

You have to understand the *reason* why the RPF tries to limit the sales of multiple Zero's, then you understand how laughable the question is.

No, but others may.

I completely understand, in fact I'd suggest an increase in price of the ZW and it's ilk but the RPF is Honorable in sticking to their goals (Education for all for as little cost as possible).

My post was not an attack at RPF, merely clarification for others.

EDIT: FWIW I've bought around a dozen PI's (various models) and only 5 remain in my possession, the rest were given to friends so their kids could experience the enjoyment I felt when programming my TI 57 as a clock (yeah it lost a few minutes a day) or falling asleep whilst learning the intricacies of the Spectrum ROM (that IRQ error must have caused a few headaches)

As long as you are not doing it to "game the system".
I think very few here would find that okay.

Ahh, so if I am bending the rules most would find it ok ;)

Never sold a pi (just checked 14 & counting), any I've passed on were gifted as well as my experience.

NM: Mistook your full stop as a comma. I really need to get my glasses replaced.

We have increased the price, it's called the ZeroWH. If you want over the counter bulk, that's the ones to buy.

Unfortunately, unlike RPF I'm not a charity, I've a few headers and plenty of time on my hands so if any of my family/friends want a zero with header I'm sure I can oblige. Just to be clear it's been mainly B's 2A's and 3B's I've gifted, as I recall I've only given 1 Z and 1 ZW.
