PDF Versions of Raspberry Pi Press Releases

Tue Dec 03, 2019 1:33 am

I have a problem. I live in the USA where getting hard copies of the RPI Press documents(magazines and books) is next to impossible, so I rely on the PDF versions. I use to be able to go to a web site from the RPI home page and find the PDF versions of all the MagPi's and books. I can't do this now. When I select the documents from the RPI home page, all I have is a selection to buy (which I can't).

RPI Press always say that the PDF version are available.

I have asked this question about a specific book and I was given a link that allowed me to get the PDF version. Why can't this be available from the RPI home page???

Can the links on the web site be changed so we can get the PDF versions???

Thanks.

I followed the links from the main webpage to the Magpi magazines at https://magpi.raspberrypi.org and everything on there has the free PDF download link.

rpdom, thanks for your reply.

But there in is the problem... The link you included (https://magpi.raspberrypi.org ) is different than the link on the RPI home page (https://store.rpipress.cc/). Apparently one gives access to the PDF files while the other doesn't. The "store" link also leads to a place where not all the latest versions are. For example, your link includes the third edition of "The Official Raspberry Pi Beginner's Guide" while the home page link doesn't even list this new book.

I think that the link on the home page needs changed.

I didn't follow the link you used. I clicked on the link for the latest MagPi magazine https://www.raspberrypi.org/magpi/issues/88/ and from there I got lots of links to books etc with PDFs.

Return to “The MagPi”
