Can we use Raspberry Pi 3B+ with Windows 10 IOT as Thin client with Microsoft RDP client software to connect to Windows Server 2016? If not, with Rasbian, what is the best Microsoft RDP Client software we can install?

Try remmina! Been playing with it for work, trying to digitize all our computers and just use virtual machines. Some luck with it so far.

Unless the situation has changed I am under the impression that Windows 10 IoT does not run on a RPI 3B+.

There have been a few folk working on getting the Pi 3B+ to run IOT but some driver issues still existed late last year with some files on GITHUB to get the box to boot.

You have to remember that this is IOT Core and you effectively dedicate the box to that app. If that’s what you are looking to do, then I would consider one of the thin client boots such as http://rpitc.blogspot.com or ‘pro’ versions such as https://www.clearcube.com/raspberry-pi-thin-client/

Wonder where do you stand with licences for this? Some thin clients I used came with a CAL for the server as part of the price, others where covered by either server limits or user based ones Always was a pain keeping track
