Win10 IoT - Printing to Thermal Printer from Serial Port

Tue Sep 11, 2018 10:24 pm

Good Day Everyone!

I have a RS232 Thermal Printer (http://www.e-gizmo.net/oc/index.php?rou ... uct_id=760)
Which I successfully connected to a USB converter.
I have also successfully installed Silab's USB to UART Driver in my Win10 IoT Device.
Using the SerialSample from the Iot Sample, I have successfully connected to the Serial Port and sent some bytes.

My problem is the code for printing texts/data itself.
I only have the reference from UWP's Printing Sample which unfortunately PrintManager is not supported.
Most of the source too that I have found in search are for Rasbian using CUPS.
Hopefully someone can point me out to where I can start the printing process.
Thank you!

I don't know if you will get much support for win10 IoT here, but they do have there own support forum , training and projects pages on their web site.

some other useful pages

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/window ... getstarted
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/iot-core/
Remember we want information.......................no information no help
The use of crystal balls & mind reading is not supported
