IoT CM3

Sat Jan 28, 2017 6:02 pm

Hi all,

Will Windows IoT work on the CM3 or does it have to be CM3Lite with an 8GB+ eMMc?

Want to know before I buy one.

Windows 10 IoT Core does not list CM3 as a Supported Device, maybe Microsoft can inform you if they have future releases of their Operating System suitable for the CM3 ???

What does MS show as the system requirements?

This is what has confused me, as far as I was aware IoT required a minimum of 8GB Storage.

Presuming this means IoT needs the CM3Lite as it allows a custom storage media, you would then need to wire an SD card (port) to the SD0 pins?

Or is it possible to wire a SD card port to the eMMc pins?

The CM3 needs an updated Kernel / Firmware AFAIAA, have MS updated Windows 10 IoT Core ??

8GB for an IoT device? That's expensive.....they'll need to reduce that if they want to get decent take up.
