Windows 10 Iot Black Screen / no Video via HDMI on Boot

Mon Aug 22, 2016 11:18 am

Hello,

as mentioned in the subject line, on my PI 3 after installing Windows 10 Iot there is only a black screen on boot-up. Not sure if it is a boot failure or just the HDMI signal is missing, because the green LED is flashing as on a normal boot sequence.
On Raspian everything is working fine.

Thank you.

If it's only a video problem, you should be able to reach the Raspberry through several means :

Your display may not support the default resolution.

Then what is supported?

Is that a Raspberry Pi 3 or a brand new Raspberry Pi 3+?

Win10 IoT won't work on a 3B+ until Microsoft rebuild their bootcode.bin and their kernel.
