Access to Windows store?

Fri Apr 01, 2016 12:43 pm

Hello together,

I have a short question concerning Windows 10 IoT running on a raspberry pi 3.
Do you have the possibility to access the Windows Store or is this only possible with the "normal" Windows 10?
I want to download the Fitbit Connect App which is running on Windows 10.

Thanks in advance.

Only Universal Windows Apps are supported:

Thank you for your answer!

If I understand it right, all Universal Windows Apps can be installed, but there is no access to the Windows Store.

In the concrete case, Fitbit connect is a Universal Windows App and therefor it should be the possibility to install the app on Windows10 IoT. Am I right? If yes, how is the easiest way?

Thank you.

That's not true. The Raspberry Pi runtime is a subset of full-fat Windows and you'll find that functions that aren't part of the IoT stack simply won't run.

If you want to run Fitbit, get a regular laptop or other X86 based WIn10 system and forget trying to run that stuff on a RPi.

The Windows Store needs Windows 10 Mobile, which can also be made to work on an RPi
