Arduino Wiring Serial On Rasp Pi

Tue Jan 05, 2016 8:05 pm

Howdy all,

I have been playing around with arduino wiring code on raspberry pi 2 and have been able to get some basic functionality. I wanted to expand the capabilities of my project so I decided to try a larger amount of code to port. My issues is the serial connection. I have a serial connection in my arduino code (for a basic RF module) but according to Microsoft's website they are still lacking several commands for serial communication with wiring on a rasp pi. But I am also aware that with the new updates of the IoT core software for the pi that serial communication has been added/significantly improved.

Does anybody know if they have kept there "log" replacement code or if that has changed? Any other advice with arduino wiring code on raspberry pi?

Thanks

ricl,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! Can I now just leave serial in there? I get that it is now supported, but does that mean arduino's version of serial is supported, as in serial.write()?

See the docs, they will explain it much better than me. The url is in the FA somewhere
