Booting does not pass the colored screen

Wed Sep 16, 2015 8:37 pm

I tried 2 different (new) 8GB class 10 memory cards and followed the Windows 10 IoT installation instructions line by line (I even did a safe removal of the memory card ;) ) but when I boot my Pi I don't get passed the colored boot screen, even after hours. The led's on the board only show one red.

Anyone who recognizes this? I really got stuck.

You need a better quality of SD card.

Went though a number of "Class 10" cards that were inexpensive. Some worked, some didn't. I don't think their quality control is all the good. There are also "Legacy Class 10" cards out there as well. Don't know exactly what that means, but I am betting that it isn't a good thing.

Most of the things that use SD cards do not have the timing requirements that Windows 10 core IoT has.

Since I have switched to Samsung EVO's, I have had 0 problems.
