Is there a new version of the Pi I need to download?

Sun Aug 02, 2015 8:55 pm

I downloaded Windows 10 on my laptop and Visual Studio post real release. But I am unable to connect to the Pi.
I had set up my Pi about a month ago pre-release. I am just trying to get Blinky example to work now.

So here is what I get from Visual Studio.... Rejected right away.
2>------ Deploy started: Project: Blinky, Configuration: Debug ARM ------
2>Error: Unable to connect to the Microsoft Visual Studio Remote Debugger named 'minwinpc'. The remote debugger is older than this version of Visual Studio 2015, and Visual Studio is no longer compatible with it. Please upgrade your remote debugger to match Visual Studio.
Visual Studio Data:
Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2015 Version 14.0.23107.0 D14REL
Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.6.00079
Visual Studio Tools for Universal Windows Apps 14.0.23121.00 D14OOB
Was there a new version of Pi Win 10 that I needed to download?

The dates on this page do not make it seem like a new version is required.

The version that's in the docs dates back to 18th June, it's not changed with the general availability of Windows 10 for Intel systems.

There is a new version that dropped last week.

The msi has a date of July 12th.

Oh and VS 2015 RC projects are not compatible with the RTM version.
