Dear forum,
Is iot just a beta?
Will Microsoft release another version of iot for playing stream games?
I am interested if I will be able to play nexon games on my raspberry Pi 2 in the future.
Thanks~

Re: Windows 10
Thank you. I wrote it after seeing one too many "why won't my x86 Win10 app run on pi" posts

Re: Windows 10
The next time I see a "Can the RPi run Windows 10?" post I'll refer them to your excellent explanation. Perhaps we should encourage the RPF and/or Microsoft to include that somewhere in their docs on http://raspberrypi.org (and Microsoft.com)mikronauts wrote:See

Any language using left-hand whitespace for syntax is ridiculous

Thank you for your kind words about my article!
It is a lot easier to post a link to it in responses than rehash all the arguments with new users

Indeed. It was a good read.
And some folks need to stop being fanboys and see the forest behind the trees.

Re: Windows 10
Well, it's true, but perhaps not entirely descriptive.
Writing a small universal application to act as a browser, maybe create some compact controls to shortcut to certain things, you should be able to use the Pi as a simple "web desktop." Webmail, Google Docs, etc...
I've been focused more on using it for some kiosk applications, so I haven't actually tried this yet, but it should be quite feasible. The downside is that you have to deploy your own browser, and I do have a simple application deployed that I'm serving a couple of web apps through.
I'd be curious to see how that performed with the range of common online desktop replacement applications if anyone decided to take that up.

Re: Windows 10
Obviously it will always be possible to write new WIOT10 applications from scratch, I'm talking about existing Windows applications, which are the reason to use windows in the first place.

If the source code is available, there is a tool to alert you to problems converting your app to a be able to run on a rpi.

Don't know anything about it, other than it exists. I currently don't have anything I want ported.
