Windows IoT Core Watcher empty

Sat May 09, 2015 9:44 am

My Windows IoT Core Watcher is empty, even though I am able to locate my Raspberry Pi using the router's list of connected devices and I am also able to successfully deploy an app to it from Visual Studio 2015. Any ideas why is the Watcher empty and how to fix it?
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I saw this post earlier, but that is a different issue. I do see the Watcher window, the problem is that it's just empty. It doesn't show my Raspberry Pi, even though we're on the same local network.
I'm on Windows 8.1.
Thanks.

I've seen some users mention that if they had certain network types such as some broadcasts blocked by their firewall that it would prevent the watcher from seeing the device.

While it does offer some functionality you can probably do as much or more just by connection to the device via a web browser connection to the WebB portal.
Just open your browser and go to:

I hope that helps.
