SpaceCRAFT Lesson

Sun Jan 15, 2017 11:44 pm

Hi guys

Trying to get started on the SpaceCRAFT Astro Pi lesson (https://www.raspberrypi.org/learning/ex ... minecraft/)

Having followed the instructions (https://www.raspberrypi.org/learning/ex ... /software/)to download the program libraries and module from github, I cannot get it to install.

I get an error:
ImportError: No module names setuptools

Any idea what I missing in order to continue?

Thanks
Adam

The latest version of Raspbian should have everything you need already installed.

Just download a new version of the OS and start coding.

Hi thanks Scotty, I assume you mean run a sudo apt-get update command? I don't need to download and install an entire new build do I ?

Try:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install python-setuptools
sudo apt-get install python3-setuptools
I'm not sure which version you need, one may be installed already, installing both will do no harm.

Hope this helps,
Dave.
