any way to collect data into a graph on python?

Mon May 18, 2015 5:45 pm

Hi, I'm thinking on my program to show the stats every now and then and then put all the data into a graph, that can be shown on the pi. the only thing is, I dont know how... been doing some research here and there, but its hard to find what I want...

I've seen some things to do with making the graph but not displaying it on the pi.

you can use Matplotlib to create graphs as a PNG or JPG and then display this to a screen.

I did this with a temperature sensor.
The code is here;http://ozzmaker.com/2013/01/08/raspberr ... re-sensor/

Just remember that Tim Peake won't have a screen connected to the Astro Pi on orbit so if you want to display anything as part of your competition entry then you need to use the LED matrix. It's fine if you're doing this for your own reasons / research though.

Another option for creating a graph for display on a conventional screen. It uses a package called gnuplot. http://www.raspberrypi-spy.co.uk/2014/0 ... pberry-pi/
