Hi everyone, I have been run down by a transit van while on my bicycle.
This caused me to have no feeling or movement in my right hand.

The question is, has anyone mastered soldering with 1 arm/hand??

Pi's are topps!!!!

Sorry to hear about your accident!

1) Look for pcb holders http://ca.mouser.com/Tools-Supplies/Too ... /_/N-11uop

2) buy/make some sort of "solder pen" that you can hold/direct with your mouth http://www.digikey.ca/product-detail/en ... ND/2177387

3) get some safety glasses

4) ideally also get a fume extractor

Hi Windcheetah. As well as the above, maybe it's worth trying soldering paste instead of solder. Apply a blob of paste to the joint, then pick up your iron & melt it.

Sorry about your accident. I was also in an accident in 2004, hit and run type. Was an RF engineer who liked to build things (solder). Was very difficult to solder using one hand. I find the most help comes from holding the board secure with tape, using a magnifying lite and smallest solder. I can do it but it takes much longer then before. Also if you can get a variable temp iron.

Good luck keep soldering! :D

Hi Windcheetah. Sorry to hear about the accident. gregeric's suggestion is what I've been using for a while. Had a little issue after a fall climbing in Scotland in 1987. Been soldering with mouth and left had hand since then, until I found soldering paste.

Thanks very much for your thoughts, I think I'll give the solder paste a shot.
