Regarding Grove PI+ sensor [Ultrasonic Sensor]

Halo my freinds

Iam Using GrovePi+ board on my Raspberrypi 3 Model B..can i use normal Ultrasonic sensor for it or i need using the Grove Ultrasonic Ranger?

Hi.

So reading the specification for the grove pi+ ultrasonic sensor it would appear it is not a standard HC-SR04.

The grove pi+ ultrasonic sensor outputs its measurement as a PWM signal.

where as a standard HC-SR04 outputs a single pulse which you have to time to get the measurement.

So I would say you need to use the grove pi+ ultrasonic sensor.
