GPIO Buffer

19.6.2014 19.6.2014 Hello, Is there a GPIO Buffer board on the market? I would like (ideally an optical) separation between the RPi GPIO's and any electronics I wish to connect uo the GPIO. Some pins must be bi-directional. This "buffer board" should also be externally powered to deliver m...

Re: CAN controller

19.6.2014 Hello, I want to implement an external CAN controller. For about €25 you can get the AVR-CAN https://www.olimex.com/Products/AVR/Development/AVR-CAN/ which you wil need to programme the CAN Driver (they have examples)since the AVR-CAN is made explicitly for CAN . In fact the CAN Protocoll ...

The next raspberry Pi HW

Hello, I know the RPi was basicaly for pupils and students but the serious hobbists and experimenters are now getting into very large numbers indeed. In fact some commercial applications use the board. Personally I'd love to the a new Raspberry Pi, with more RAM (GB or better 2GB) esat HD connection...

Socket Programming

Hello,
I understand that socket programming is on a client/server connection , which I also understand as a 1:1 computer connection.
Ok so far.
But how can I get a n:n computer connection. i.e. 4 RaspPis exchanging data and also with a PC?

Thanks for any tips.

Re: PC to RPi GPIO + Video Streaming to PC

13.5.2014 Not much help here, I probably have not described the situation that well. I was wondering if I must use socket programming to transfer commands/data from and to the Raspberry pi. Would this be the correct technique or is there something better? PC and the Raspberry Pis are all on WLAN and...

Re: SD Card will not boot

Ha!.....After redoing the SD Card Test Check Flash 1.166.2 and formatting (SD Formatter) again. After loading MooBs to the SD again the CD Card actually booted. I'll try to boot a couple of times to see that the problem has indeed gone away.

Again thanks to all

Re: SD Card will not boot

I have subjected my SD Card to about 6 hours od testing using Check Flask 1.166.2 and no errors were found found. reformatting the card yet again with overwrite and copying the latest MOOBS from RasPi foundation and still no boot. Oh well, I think that is about it and I cannot do anymore that I have...

Re: SD Card will not boot

Hello again, The SD come from Sandisk and I bought 4 16GB SDs in one batch. The other three are ok. As I wrote earlier formatting + writing and read on the PC are OK. I think I'll just scrap it and get a new card. I wonder if 16GB is bit over dimentioned, but I want to use Java and SQL..... regards BD

Re: SD Card will not boot

I have used the same techniques used to create the other SD Cards. I use SDFormatter und and unpack the latest downloaded MOOBS unpack it and copy to the sD Card. In fact I have re-created another new 16GB SD Card and that works well. Both my Raspberry Pis are working as expected. I took the origina...

SD Card will not boot

I have a 16GB SD Card that I can format (SD formatter) and can copy data (ie. MOOB or an img) and I can list the contents in Windows 8 . But when I've installed something bootable my RasPi will not boot. Red power led but no green led. However, testing with another SD card boots up with no problems....

Hi,

There appears to be no WiFi setup on the 2013-05-25-wheezy-raspbian (raspi-config) wheezy version.

Is this an oversite or am I missing something??
