Yank out official 7" lcd usb?

Hello, I have pi3 attached to the official 7" lcd display, in order to make it thinner, I yanked out all usb and ethernet ports to make it slimmer, which works fine. To slim even further, on the 7" lcd, there is also a full size usb on its circuit board. I am wondering if I yank out that USB ...

Pi Zero for NAS ?

I have a plan to create a NAS box in a lunch box. I was going to use a pi zero W, a slim ext hdd, usb sticks and a powered usb hub. I'd be using the wifi on the pi to connect to the network and the powered hub would double as the data link and psu. This way the only ...

xfce4 - lost pixel desktop

Hi all.
pi3. Installed xfce4 and slim as I use them on my other linux boxes. It all works fine but the 'original' pixel desktop/UI is gone - even in a LXDE or 'Default' session. Anybody know how to get it back (and still use xfce4)?
TIA

... iron, some strong snips and the ability to swear loudly ;-) You'll want to be looking for a 2A+ powerboost. Best bet is to pull the cover off some slim "USB batteries" as you'll have the battery & the charging setup. While it can run off a 1A quality usb battery, it might not with all your attachment.

Hey y'all! I got a Raspberry Pi Zero for Christmas and I wanted to make a slim computer, something like an iPod or something. I want a touchscreen between 3.5" - 5". Where can I get one and how can I connect it. (BTW, I hate HDMI, so i was thinking an alternative)

There have been some people who have modified for a better antenna. I would just use a USB adapter for wifi. You would get better range. You can get the slim units that are not that far out of the USB port.

Re: Parts for building a tablet

I'll suggest you use the CM3L model. With this, you'll need to create a carrier board, but by doing so, you can make it slim enough to be a thick tablet. If your goal is a Pokèdex lookalike, then you may find the cost prohibitively expensive. I appreciate the feedback. You say the ...
