Re: OpenVPN and nodogsplash on the same Pi?

If the answer to question 1 is No, then I assume that the only way to get this working is to have two Pis, each with dual Ethernet ports (one for the Router side and one for the private network side. Answering myself in part; if the problem is that the firewall rules are being overwritten and I can...

OpenVPN on Pi - Error tls error: tls key negotiation failed to occur within 60 seconds (check your network connectivity)

Hi, I am new to all this and was wondering if someone out there ran into this issue. I followed all the directions with the use of Open VPN and for some reason I keep getting this error: "tls error: tls key negotiation failed to occur within 60 seconds (check your network connectivity)" Can you plea...

Re: Remote Deployment of a VPN Server using PiVPN

I assume you'll be using routed server mode, and have very little practical experience with that. But the only problem I see in this case is the faint possibility that one of the remote site uses 10.8.0.0/24 for its LAN network If you want to use a virtual IP address range other than 10.8.0.0/24, yo...

You could disable the service so that it does not start at boot, And get your script or the original init script get called with arguments start and stop according to the state of wlan0 With dhcpcd you could react to e.g. to BOUND on wlan0, check the value of $ifbssid (?), and take it from there. ht...

Wireless client-side bridging with vxlan. Interest?

This is a new take on my old post about wireless client bridging via openvpn. The new design works on raspios, requires only configuring dhcpcd, dnsmasq and hostapd. "Super easy" if you stick to the configs provided with the project. Seems to be working fine, ...

OpenVPN port 1194 is UDP/IP not TCP/IP.

FTP uses two ports 20 & 21 (unless you run passive (aka PASV)).
