Re: Streaming mjpg from Raspberry Cam

I'm pretty sure the version of libjpeg has very little to do with it as I don't think mjpeg streamer should be touching the image. You could try using a bigger image size 1920 X 1080 works for me! Do you get the same issues using raspistill time lapse mode to store Jpeg? ...

Re: Streaming mjpg from Raspberry Cam

Yes, I'm using your plugin.

I tried with the following command and it also happens after 10-20 seconds.

Code: Select all

./mjpg_streamer -o "output_http.so -w ./www" -i "input_raspicam.so -d 2000 -hf -vf"

Re: Security Camera System

Right now, I'm doing the stream (mjpg-streamer) of 4 cameras logitech quickcam pro 9000 at 960x720 @ 15fps, running on a single rpi model b, without problems.
The recording of the video is made through motion (kmotion) running in a diferent pc (intel D525MW, 4 Gb, 1 Tb).

Best regards,
MIguel

... stream at the same time you're analyzing it with motion on the Raspberry Pi. Most other methods will require transcoding of some sort (h.264 -> MJPG etc) and it just can't do it! I'm hoping for some optimization of the raspistill code, or a v4l2 driver that will support MJPG with a higher framerate
