Re: LIRC GPIO driver for homebrew adapter

I'm a bit puzzled myself - I'm trying to get Lirc working on the latest Raspbian but haven't had any luck building it - with aron or mba's instructions...

Does anyone know if any of this stuff is going to be included in Raspbian or Lirc by default? That'd make this all a whole lot easier!

lircd with x10 receiver

Hi,
i recently added an usb x10-receiver (from a old multimedia laptop) to my pi.
It is working so far,but "top" says, lirc uses 5-6%cpu.
Is this normal behaviour or is there a problem with the config?

Frank.

Decoding remote control infrared pulses

I found a spare IR receiver from some I bought years ago for a LIRC board. It was surprisingly easy to interface to the Pi and may be useful as a remote control in robotics type applications. Mine is a http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/ir-remote-receiver/6548930/ ...

Pi crashing every night

I'm using my Pi (running fully updated archlinux arm) as a DVR, running TVHeadend with three capture cards (one single tuner, one dual tuner) recording to a USB enclosure with three disks in BTRFS. It seems to crash every night, becoming unresponsive to pings, keyboard interrupts and ssh. I've just ...

Re: LIRC GPIO driver for homebrew adapter

Hey guys, I know you've done some nice work getting a GPIO version together, but since I'm not using my USB ports I wonder if anyone has tried something like: http://www.huitsing.nl/irftdi/
?

Will still probably need some LIRC patching, so seems worth keeping the threads together? Thanks!

Hi there, Mythbox CAN (just about) use 0.25 MythTV backends now. I just tried it out using the OpenELEC-RPi.arm-devel-20120921180905-r11974.tar.bz2 release from http://sources.openelec.tv/tmp/image/openelec-rpi/, but it should be the same for RaspBMC I would guess.
