I think this might be the cause of a problem I'm noticing too. I'm using an Huawei E160 3G USB modem on the RPi. PPP etc. works as I expect. But at random intervals, PPP says that the modem "hung up" (which it didn't, looking at the logs of the data) and cuts ...

the raspi has a 700mhz cpu and 256mb or ram (shared with gpu) the huawei ascend has a 528mhz cpu no gpu and 256mb of ram the ascend has android 2.3.3 official and there are videos of it running android 4.0 theoreticly its possible but we'd definently need ...

i did some research and found that these tablets probably have 256 mb ram and gingerbread on them:

alcor ace, yarvik tab250/211, huawei u8650 sonic (phone), gpad g15 tablet
