Nice what apps does it support? Not familiar with Gentoo wiki says it's a BSD base. The link to the image is broken I believe it has YYYYMMDD is it supposed to be that way? Gentoo uses a package management system call portage, it has more than 10000 "apps". ...

Are you saying that no other projects have permission to use that .DLL? license.txt is in usbit.zip. It does appear to be something close to the "BSD with advertising" or MIT license, but it doesn't explicitly state what the license of derivative works is.
