Re: Confused by under voltage

The 12V DC-DC voltage converter you have is listed as a charger, not a power supply. Charging phone or tablet batteries does not require precise voltage regulation, and because of that, many chargers will not maintain a stable 5V under load. For this reason chargers are not recommended ...

Last winter the SOC got dangerously low and was near to destroying the future effectiveness of the batteries (GBP700+). ...

Re: Operation Voltage

Maybe not two batteries but two power supplies powered by one battery? An 11 Volt battery, unless way undersized for the current draw, should have no problem supplying a good 5 Volt regulator.

Schematics for RPI 2B anywhere?

power Raspberry Pi using Battery Packs

Hi, The last few days i've been searching for a way to power my pi using a set of 18650 batteries. I've read several threads on this topic, but couldn't find a plug and play solution. I basically need a step up from 3.7 - 4.2V to 5V 3A. I've found several devices, but ...

Desktop computers don't tend to run on batteries. The Pi is not designed to run on batteries either.

It's the current, a 9v battery can't supply the amps a Pi is trying to draw.

Some useful info here (I haven't read this thoroughly, only skimmed the first few answers)

Re: Two stepper motor with A4988

it sounds like your supply can't give the RasPi what it needs when both motors run. Perhaps a reasonable capacitor might help if the batteries don't have a high peak current output. Single AA's seem to give about 4A in a short (20A range on multimeter) Make a little monitor circuit that ...
