... time user and on the second day of use the SD card won't hold anymore. I've only changed the mini sd card less than ten times trying to setup my hifiberry properly. I guess I will use a rubber band as well. I hope the raspberry foundation revise this on the next iteration.

Hifiberry (or IQAudio or Wolfson) frees you from needing to use a TV to decode the HDMI to audio.

If you only want audio out (and not audio recording) then Hifiberry or IQAudio are probably a better choice.

Just a suggestion... have you noticed that hifiberry sells an amp board that can be directly attached to a raspberry pi. It can also power the RPi from a 12v source (perhaps a small form factor battery, or recharchable C-battery pack?)

The Wolfson card WON'T WORK on a Raspberry Pi A+ or B+. The P5 header is removed on the A+/B+. Take a look at the HiFiBerry or USB sound devices. So it is true that https://nl.farnell.com/webapp/wcs/store ... reId=10168 which should fit on a B+ and not on a B isn't working because ...
