Hey, that fixed it. I forgot this was one of the older NOOBS cards. I mounted the card on the mac and saw the RECOVERY disk. I wiped off the things we don't need, keeping autoboot.txt and recovery.cmdline, then copied over the new files, as described here: http://thepihut.com/blogs/raspberry-pi-tuto...

Hi, I have just done the same thing, dist-upgrade on an older 3.12.22+ to bring it up to 3.18.7+, the /boot seems to have the correct kernel files, including kernel7.img, but it won't boot. I just get nothing when putting that card into a Pi2. Putting it back in the Pi1 B+ it boots fine. Any ideas? ...
