So the Plex Media Server is compatible with Fedora, does this mean I can run Plex Media Server from PiDora?

Powering the RPi from TV

I power my device from a USB port on my TV, this means that when the TV is turned off, the RPi loses it's source of power and turns off. Will this damage it? Should I get a mains adapter?
