Re: Osoyoo 5" DSI display, anyone?
Such a wonderfully supportive community! My irony and humor detector is probably failing again :-) My link points to thread where next post tells you to not ask for support if you buy it. And when searching 'Osoyoo' as suggested you only find posts about completely different 3.5" SPI display (...

Osoyoo 5" DSI display, anyone?
Has anybody tried this product from osoyoo?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KKB5YS9
I can't find enough technical details on it to decide if I want one. I presume it's a clone of the official display, with a smaller screen.

A modding question
Hi all,
I wonder if anybody tried changing the main CPU crystal , from 19.2MHz to something else, but still close to it.
For example 18.432 or 22.5792 MHz.
What would happen, besides under/over clocking the CPU this brute force way?

It might work with something like this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/LCD-Controller ... :rk:4:pf:0
Ask the seller if your display is compatible, or perhaps they have another solution for it!

Re: LVDS driver board question
my board has E0,E1,E2,E3 and then 00,01,02,03 - the data sheet shows RxIN0,RxIN1etc. Your board has E0,E1,E2,E3 and then O0,O1,O2,O3, that is Even and Odd. These are two sets of signal outputs used to transfer two pixels at once, for certain displays. Your display has a single set of inputs, RxIN0 ...

My 7 year old daughter learnt the name of the current distribution of the Raspbian OS today and she wasn't impressed. She doesn't see why her little sister gets her name on the download files and why it can't be named after her instead! (yes, the 5yr old is called Jessie). You could build a fake do...

Re: Relay - Switching Earth
Affirmative, that's what relays are for. As long as you use the NO connection on your board, it will have the same functionality.
Make sure your relay can withstand the maximum current required.

You can use CPLD boards for that, you can find them all over the internet.

is there a timescale on the display, does anyone know? In a February 2015 interview, Eben Uptop said they have an $100.000 inventory of lcd panels for this product, waiting for EMC testing to be complete, and for a timescale he was hoping "end of this quarter... I mean let's say April, I don't...

Can you return the RA8875 ? It is intended for use with Arduino, rather than the Pi.
Get the TFP401 HDMI/DVI Decoder to 40-Pin TTL Breakout - With Touch.
This needs hdmi, micro-usb and the display. Should work straight out of the box.

It wouldn't be quite such an excellent choice as there is not enough market for it.RaTTuS wrote:an e-paper would be an excellent choice ;-p but that's not likely
If you want e-paper, you can find third party solutions.

[...] I don't really like that bezel, had hoped for a hardcore finish... also what is the point of that display port if you still need a PCB to drive the damned things? I guess price and touch control quality will tell if it's going to be interesting. I wish they had moved on to color e-paper... pe...

The pick and place machine aligns with the fiducial marks which are very precisely included in the actual pcb design.

There are different shades of all colours on the boot screen and this makes it more difficult.

I picked up a couple of generic hdmi adapter board + LCD panel modules to keep me going until the RPi displays show up. The RPi display will be great as it should eliminate the hdmi-LCD adapter board nicely :) and save a bit of power as well! Unfortunatelly it looks like it will be a DSI to LCD int...

Re: noise through amp powered by 5v gpio
I'm sorry you didn't find a solution, even if I didn't expect it to be easy to fix. I think none of the gpio gnd pins are appropiate for this, rather you'd need to find a better ground point on the board and solder your connection there. I think I'm going to try this too, soon, because I want to bui...
