Trying to configure wifi AP (with VPN)

Hi, for three weeks straight, I've been trying to create a wireless AP on my RPI B 512mb. I am at my absolute wits end trying to get it to work! Originally, I wanted an AP with VPN and found plenty of tutorials for doing just that. However, nothing I tried would work. I could get to the point where ...

Received code at the weekend (thank-you). Got it up and running on Sunday and I have to say, rPlay is absolutely amazing. Loving it!

Re: MusicBox & wifi

So I've finally managed to get MusicBox up and running via wifi with the help of MrEngman's wonderful posts. I've created a PDF that contains all the instructions I used in case it may help someone in the future and if anyone's interested, it's here . Thanks again for the help along and the way and ...

Re: "Making" a charger - advice!

Thanks for the replies. I'll close this thread with what I ended up doing. Before I could cut the leads and start working on the adapter, my wife was clearing out a cupboard that had some of my "old rubbish". "You don't need this do you?" she said as she hovered towards the bin with an old Samsung a...

"Making" a charger - advice!

I've got an old 5v 4A DC adaptor - but the connecting end is a round type and no good for my Pi. I've done a but of googling around and have read that my idea is safe if you're careful with the soldering and you check you're using the correct wires. So with that in mind, can anybody advise whether i...

Re: MusicBox & wifi

uelboud, Really sorry, I've just seen your further post about Mr Engman's instructions. I did try following all the steps and I seemed to get close but just couldn't nail it. I'm going to update to the new release of MusicBox first chance I get (was supposed to be tonight but had to behave myself an...

Re: MusicBox & wifi

uelboud, thanks very much for the reply and for explaining the options. Option 1 does sound interesting and something I think I'll attempt as it certainly makes sense. I'll also have a go at option 2. I was in contact with the author of MusicBox this morning and he has just today released an update ...

MusicBox & wifi - Solved!

Hi, My first post, please be gentle with me  I received my very first pi for Christmas and have been playing around with it quite a bit. I found MusicBox which I believe is quite popular and think it's ace. It's lead me to want to try and set it up for our New Years Eve party. The idea is to ha...
