Re: Chromium+Apache+Omxplayer+H264 Video

Yes, it can be done with tools from my kweb suite. I call it "simulated web video". It looks like the video is playing inside a web page, while in fact it's an overlay created by omxplayer(GUI).

You'll find more details in the developers chapter of my omxplayerGUI manual.

Re: HowTo VideoJumping

You can control both omxplayer and VLC with DBus. You can download the following script to control omxplayer from the command line: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/popcornmix/omxplayer/master/dbuscontrol.sh With VLC it is more complex. I use QDbus to control it. But both programs can only jump to ...

I have Kweb setup in Kiosk mode on a raspberry pi zero and it's running great (much lower CPU load than Chromium), but this morning a WiFi? glitch caused the (single) web page not to load, resulting in a 404 error. How can I tell Kweb to do a retry or maybe even force a reboot of the whole pi if th...

Re: Omxplayer - problem with 'overlay' on RPI-4

Hi guys, For clarification on how OMXplayer behaves different between RPI3 and RPI4 I am using OMXplayer through python as a media player. When I ran it on the RPI3, the video would play in a 'window" smaller than the whole screen. I could see the desktop around the edges of the video. When I run t...

Does that explain the difference between the Pi3 and the Pi4?
There is no difference. Without the --win option omxplayer will always play full screen.

Re: Omxplayer - problem with 'overlay' on RPI-4

Good morning, While working with Omxplayer on the RPI-4 I noticed that when the video pops up on the screen it will completely take over the whole screen. What I mean by that is even if the video is say 640 x 480 or some other small size, the video will show at that size, but the rest of the screen...

Ok, thanks. Do you know of anything else I can try in regards to my sound issue? I really don't know what else to try to get this problem fixed.
The only difference which I can see is that I'm always using HDMI audio. I haven't used the analog audio output since 2013.

At the moment not. They had to be disabled for the RPi 4 because of the new video drivers. Hopefully this will be fixed in the future, but "popcormix" is too busy with other things at the moment.
