The router is fine, all other dhc devices have an IPv4 address. This is a config problem with this specific Pi.

Ah yes, you are correct. I jumped to that since I had an issue with Cron where the wifi was not up.

I suspect it is crashing when if cannot find an IP address, before the networking has got up and running. Try adding in a delay before the loop of 10 seconds, or detect when there is no IP address and pass.
