Re: Pi 3 - Unable to "Update" on Public AP - Pi security stops it.

I am able to connect to the AP/Internet now. There were 2 issues, 1- under power, I was using a wall outlet with USB included, had to switch to a 2 amp transformer. 2- I had to use a browser (was using SSH) to see that there was a check box that needed to be checked on the login, for the first time ...

Pi 3 - Unable to "Update" on Public AP - Pi security stops it.

I am using a campground Public AP and trying to "Update" my Pi, but when I try, I get a not secure site and sends me back to the $Pi prompt. I am unable to download and programs as this error keeps coming up. If I plug in the Pi to my home network the Pi works fine. The desktop will not load either ...

Good Morning, I searched the forum and could not find exactly what I need. If I may have missed the thread, please direct me to it. I am looking for a Python script for the Pi3 to accomplish the following... as you guessed programming is not one of my best features. Objective: I have different proje...

Re: IndexError: list index out of range

Found the problem. The jumper wire that I was using for data was open. I replaced the jumper and low and behold there was the 28-xxxxxx DS18B20 number. Sorry about that. I checked the voltages and they were ok, did not think that I would have a bad jumper on the data connection.
Thanks again

IndexError: list index out of range

Well, I decided to try my luck at using a Pi to work with my DS18B20 temperature sensors. I am inching along but hit a snag. I am getting a "IndexError: list index out of range" error message. Has to be something dumb that I am or am not doing. Would appreciate any assistance with getting past this ...

Reset Pi time automatically without rebooting

I have a Pi3 in my RV running 24/7 with battery backup, so it should never need to reboot. The RV is in the mountains about 600 miles away from me, 6 months out of the year. The Pi tends to loose time each day and after a while it is giving me wrong times in my sensor dB. I do not have a RTC on it, ...

Ping website and log date-time when unavailable

Hi, I searched a few sites, but was unable to locate any code for what I need to accomplish. I just received my Raspberry PI and I am trying to come up with a program that will run 24/7 and monitor my internet connection. I have been having issues with my internet connection and when I ping a site I...
