Re: Dynamode USB Wifi Dongle issues

demonx42 , meet the driver for you. Here is the driver for kernel 3.18. 7-v7+ (for Raspberry Pi 2 ). How to install Ssh to your RaspberryPi and enter the following commands (better copy-paste to avoid typos): cd /tmp wget https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/67643651/mt7601_3.18.7-v7.tar.gz sudo tar...

Re: Dynamode USB Wifi Dongle issues

I've already written about it. Just post here "/proc/config.gz" file from your pi2 and I will make module for you. Sorry for having missed that. That's awfully nice of you. Here is a link to my /proc/config.gz: https://mega.co.nz/#!48BTEbCb!j9SH290sLq_X30sZyKe4uUFoJBdNP8ksQ9tCCMUFImo FYI: I've run ...

Re: Dynamode USB Wifi Dongle issues

I followed nearly every step on each page of this thread to no avail, till I spotted one line on the earlier page that mentioned that this doesn't work on the Raspberry Pi 2.

I've got 3.18.6+ #754 and nope. Nothing works.

Re: Setting up the Raspberry Pi to use a VPN service

Thanks. I'll check 'em out. I'm pretty sure I searched for VPN, but all I could find was info on how to set up a VPN server.

Re: x265 video decoding possible??

What would a Pi do with a Gigabit Ethernet port? It can't quite cope with the full speed of 100Mbit without serious CPU load. Even for simple data transfer? I use my Pi to download directly to my NAS and then XMBC to play back from the same NAS. Both operations happen fine, but I assumed that a gig...

Re: x265 video decoding possible??

I don't know about 4K, but perhaps just HD video at x265 to begin with?

The lack of a gigabit ethernet port on the Pi is still a bummer, though. Sigh.

Setting up the Raspberry Pi to use a VPN service

I'd like my always-on Pi to connect to the internet via a VPN. Does this require the VPN service provider to offer a client or is there a 'standard' client or such that can be used with configuration (such as the server, username, password)? Most VPN services offer downloads for desktop and mobile, ...

Re: x265 video decoding possible??

Does anyone know if it's technically possible to create an add-on HW x265 decoder that plugs into the Pi over USB, if not GPIO? Just a thought...

Re: Using the Pi to activate different motor pumps

I'm looking to do something very similar, but I'm also at a far earlier stage - I need to know what kind of pumps or hardware I can acquire that will suit this purpose.

Instead of pumps, I'm also fine with having inverted containers with stoppers/taps that can be opened/closed with the RPi.
