What Linux calls "Remote Desktop" is generally VNC. I have no idea if the "Remote Desktop" server automatically activates at startup though.

1) Many wireless dongles are compatible (but take up a USB port)

2) A powered external hub solves the problem.

3) Farnell/Newark/element14 or RS Components/Allied Electronics.

However, the real requirement is that the phone and the Pi are on the same network, so Ethernet for the Pi still fulfills the requirement.
