Re: Lol- The joking thread

Why is this incorrect use of "of" instead of "have" becoming so prevalent? :( Blame the demise of the grammar schools, the rise of the Internet, damn you autocorrect and the Americans (specifically Messrs Merriam & Webster with their drastically misspelled American Heritage dictionary). why'd it al...

Disable Anti-Aliasing systemwide?

Hello all, I'm working on tweaking RtCW-pi http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewt ... 76#p578776

I believe that the pi is forcing Anti-Aliasing
So I am wondering, is there a way to disable It?

Re: dsi screen need help

OP means a Nintendo DSi :D

looks like there are not too many options here, if you have wifi, then you could use a web based VNC client, but I am not sure if the DSi could handle it memory wise ;)

Might be easier if you use a TV or a smartphone, or a tablet.

Just tested this last night with my handheld UMPC build on a Linksys 54 megabit wireless G router with basically 480P @ 60fps and it worked beautifully, the only thing is that the 700ms latency is annoying and rules out remote gaming, any way to deal with it?

Re: Creating a portable raspberry Pi using Xbox controller

Hi there, welcome to the forums! to start off, your battery pack does not have a high enough output to support both the Pi and the screen, you should have about 2A output because the Pi needs about 1A to function properly, and the screen probably uses about 300mah, plus you need to power the control...

Re: GAMES LIST: Games That Work On The Pi

one of my favorite games RTCW or Return To Castle Wolfenstein works on the Pi, it's based off of quake 3 so it runs a bit slowly for my liking (e.g. 30+ fps) and it also requires that you have the pk3 files (just like quake 3!) http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=14975&p=578776#p5...

Re: Using an iPad as a passive display for a Pi over USB

If jailbreaking the iPads is an option, then you could jailbreak and install MiWi, and then tether the ipad to raspberry pi instructed here, http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?&t=18356 And though the person in that post is using an iphone, there is no difference between the ipad OS and ...

How about this, it claims to have 5V/3A single port output, and it has 2 port with a 3A total.

Flashing lights for septic tank overflow, need help

I know what comes to mind when "septic tank" and "need help" are in the same sentence, but don't worry, dad and I did all the dirty work already. ;) Over the past few years we have gotten very heavy rainfall, which causes our septic tank to overflow and short out our pump, previously we had our elec...
