Re: Minecraft sold: Microsoft buys Mojang for $2.5bn

For 2.5B I'd probably get my masters in hardware engineering and then keep 1B for myself and donate the rest to charities and people who deserve it, like a certain Raspberry Pi foundation ;)

Usb Y power output

Hi all, I want to make a usb Y cable that supplies power to both of the output ends, sort of like a splitter, but without the data. My reasoning behind this is that I am making a Pi-to-Go and I need to supply 5v power from the battery pack to the pi and the screen. My battery pack is weird because i...

Homemade stereo minispeakers

Hi all, I am making a Pi-to-Go as a 4H project and I need to make some speakers for it. I have two working mini speakers from an old Sony PSP that had died. The speakers have little contact tabs sticking out of them for input, and I was going to solder some wire from a USB cable onto the speakers, a...

Re: Burning out GPIO pins?

My pi normally runs in the range of 40-45c so your temps seem normal to me, you probably messed something up on your sd card which causes errors which causes an increase in cpu load which causes an increase in temperature! (Takes deep breath)

Re: Burning out GPIO pins?

The ethernet led should only come on if you have an ethernet cord plugged in to it, so basically you need to unplug everything except the power, a keyboard and either hdmi or rca, whichever you are using for video. If your pi boots, then You need to go through a process of elimination and test your ...

Re: How to connect to laptop?

All you need to do is bridge the two connections by going to control panel, network and sharing center, and then either network connections. Highlight your ethernet and wifi adapters simultaneously, right click and then click on bridge. Let it work for a while, and when it is done restart your pi. Y...

Are you trying to share your internet from your laptop to your Pi? If so why don't you just plug your pi into your router?

OpenRA port

Hey all, I've had a C&C craving all week long and would love to be able to play Red Alert on my soon to be Pi-To-Go. Anyways, I was wondering what the biggest obsacle that is preventing someone from running this for the Pi. From what I understand, it's that openRA is Opengl 2.0 and the pi is Opengl ...

Re: Raspberry pi DS?

Just bought 3 small sheets of lexan for the case, I'm going to cut it to shape. and I'd like to paint it but I am not sure how to paint it, I saw online that some people just used a paint pen and, some other people sanded it, primed and then painted.

Re: Castle Wolfenstein

For those of you who use external drives (external hdd, flash drives, etc) I found that if you unplug the drives then you squeeze out an extra 8 fps or so, for some reason my pi has a swap file on my hdd, which is slower than an SD card

Re: xbox original eeprom

If the xbox works, then you can softmod it using mech assault, 007 agent under fire, or splinter cell and a softmod package. Don't use the platinum version of any of those because the exploit will have been patched. If you have made a backup of your EEPROM, then you could just FTP into your xbox's C...

Awesome idea, kusti! Are there places where you can send them the blueprints, and they will print and ship it to you? I don't seem to have any businesses in my area who do 3d printing.....
