Re: Raspberry Pi not running crontab script on startup

Hi shapefree, I did some tests. My bash script runs fine. (It's a flashing a led 1 sec on 1 sec off) First of all try a simple script. If it does not run do we have options? Yes: 0) show your crontab 1) linux is case sensitive. Check your path to launch.sh 2) can you run your command from the comman...

Re: bash gpio not recognise

Hi input, I tried your script. It runs fine on Jessie rpi 3 model B. gpio is part of Jessie (full version). Try the following options <input>which gpio <output> /usr/bin/gpio <input>gpio -v or /usr/bin/gpio -v <output>gpio version: 2.32 and more <input>echo $PATH or printenv <output>/usr/local/sbin:...

Hi StormMaster1, Create a shell script like this: #!/bin/bash cd /home/pi/share/MirrorScreen /usr/bin/python3 /home/pi/share/MirrorScreen/MirrorScreen.py set the executable bits on this script, chmod 777 <your_script>. Start this script from ~/.config/lxsession/LXDE-pi/autostart Perhaps you have to ...

Re: LED not lighting up with breadboard via 3.3V

Hi warry,

The resistor is ok. The value of the resistor may vary between 220 - 1000 ohm.

Try another ribbon cable or test each wire with your ohm multimeter.

Re: Running Tkinnter Program on Boot

Hi StormMaster1, the code runs when ran from the terminal inside the session. This code does not run (to many errors). I think it's not the latest version. Post a working script otherwise we have to gues. But you may try this: add this line to ~/.config/lxsession/LXDE-pi/autostart @lxterminal -e /us...

Re: Run automatically

Hi,

Use crontab to run your script every minute.
Google for 'crontab documentation' or manpages on your system.
A quick search:

Hi,

gpio readall assumes that your code is running, see your previous post. But I could not run your code due to indentations errors. After correcting your code it runs fine now.

Did you rectify your indentation errors?

Hi Euformelo,

Check your timing of your servo. See the following links:

Re: Servo control really need help

Hi Eurformelo,

Change BOARD into BCM.
BOARD pwm1 uses pin 33 on the header.
BCM uses GPIO13 which is pin 33 on the header.

Success with your project.

Hi vasilev,

I used hc-12. It has a voltage range from 3.2 - 5.5V and it is cheap.

Hi,
First of all, check your led (with serial resistor 330 - 1000 ohm). See my previous post.
What do you observe?

Re: gpio pin not working

Hi,

1) to limit the led current place a resistor in serial with the led.
2)I suspect that you have exchanged anode and cathode of the led.

Pin 11 -----aLEDk-----1000------GND
a is anode long lead of led
k is cathode short lead of led

Check led
3.3V -------aLEDk-----1000------GND

Re: Photo resistor help

Yes that is ok. The current through is led is ~ 2.3 / 330 = 7 mA.
The place of resistor is not important. But you have to test both methodes.

gpio25 --- led --- 330 ohm --- GND
and
3.3V ------led ----330 ohm ---- gpio25
You may switch the led and resistor from position.

Re: Photo resistor help

Hi Raspiyo, Check RCpin (gpio25). Write a script to blink (0.5 sec high 0.5 sec low) a led on gpio25. If the led is not blinking then your output pin is destroyed. There are 2 methodes to check an output circuitry (output stage): 1) 3.3V -----1000 ohm-----LED-----gpio25 (to test sink current) 2 gpio...
