Re: Portable Pi for Robot

It might work but since they say (2.4A+2.1A=3.5A) I'm not sure if I would trust it.

When I downloaded the dualcam.dts file it got saved as an audio file
What do you mean by that? Did the file name get changed?

It's not ZERO VALUE but a very negative value! Just as bad as 'Pink Unicorns Dancing on Rainbows'.

NOOBS is not the problem. You haven't set up your keyboard in Preferences > Raspberry Pi Configuration.

Re: About booting USB mass storage

You only need the SD card to set the USB boot mode after which you no longer need it.

I mistakenly upgraded to Squeeze (I think) using sudo apt-get upgrade
Upgrading from Jessie to Squeeze is much more complicated than that.

IMO installing multiple OS is the only reason to use NOOBs.
I think that it's much better to use multiple SD cards.

NOOBS is an OS installer not an OS. It was designed to help people who have no idea what they're doing and seems to cause more problems than it solves. Stick to Raspbian!

I've told you how to read the SD card and you are certainly not paying attention. You should have chosen a bird name starting with Do. I will not look at this thread again!

The camera is using embedded Linux and Windows won't read an SD card thats been formated for Linux.

Re: No Idea Where To Start

You could get a Debian live cd and boot it on your laptop. Then you'll probably be able to read the SD card.

I'm wondering if 'apt install' is working. I rather like synaptic as a package manager. You could try 'apt install synaptic' which should download and install a fair number of packages.

It looks like it should be working. The only thing that I can think of is that Jessie didn't install properly or you have a bad SD card.

[solved] Strange Arduino IDE version

In Jessie if I run 'sudo apt install arduino' it installs version 2.1.0.5. When I try to compile some sketches it raises all sorts of strange errors. But the sketches compile just fine in version 1.8.4. Where did this version come from?

The link that RaTTus provided isn't very useful since it doesn't tell you how to get the 20% discount. Look at the main page.
