Add a button to GPIO and a script reading it which triggers the listed command.

Re: Hiding Raspberry Pi inside a wall safely

Hi, Are there power supplies designed to be hidden inside of walls This is such a specific requirement that I doubt you can get any listing this as its feature... A proper substitute is to obtain the power supply (from a decent shop !), which is designed to operate at zero air flow. Best wishes, Iva...

Hi Jaska, I would like to know which transmitters and receivers should I use because the range should be up to 2KMs. Longer range requires (also) more power... in each gate. Reconsider taking another approach, two of them could be better: a) you implement communication between gates (eg. when gate #...

Re: Raspberry Pi draws 1.3A current and never lights up LEDs

Hi, Could the fuse have blown? When the fuse blows, it disconnects the current path (= no current). Visually check if there is something unusual... Another thing - when 1.3A is burned somewhere, the temperature there increases... finger could be basic "debugging tool", too... Best wishes, Ivan Zilic.

Re: can a pi be a router by default?

Hi, Why 2 network cards? Router is by definition a device which routes network traffic between (at least) two networks. If it doesn't perform this, then this is not a router. To have a device connected to two networks at the same time , you (typically) need two network cards. How about 1 WiFi adapte...

Hi, I think it cannot . Unless it has software and routing table. Please define "by default". Actually each functionality needs software. This software could be (part of) operating system, a daemon, an application... According to the routing table... I believe that each and every computer that has w...

Hi,

Even if the interference causes data to get corrupted, the software should detect this error and handle it in a system-friendly way.

Hi, I did not. Didn't know that was an option. But you're right, i will try contacting them. Re: Fuel flow sensor and open collector signals

Hi, So only the 12V DC to the sensor + and the ground of the sensor with the grnd pin of the RPi? Maybe that's better?! If you'd like the current to flow from the 12V DC supply to the sensor (to supply it), you need a return path also here. So, you must connect together also the second (negative) ou...

Hi, Just in case - you have grounds of the sensor and RasPi connected together, don't you ? Not yet, is that really bad? English language has similar words for circuit, circle and circulation. The last two words directly associate to a closed loop, and/or that something is rolling around. An electri...

Hi, Tomorrow I'll try a low pull-up resistor, 3k3 or 4k7 ohm to connect pin 1 (3.3V) and the gpio pin (22). It seems logic that a current is required to generate a pulse on the Raspberry Pi. Hi, The power supply of the sensor should be in the range of 8 - 28V DC. I've constructed a 12V DC supply with 2A output.
