Re: raspberry pi cant SSH

do you have access to another linux computer, which you can ssh to from both your pc and the raspberrypi? Then you could use a reverse port forward to use this computer as a gateway. Do you really mean 3g not bluetooth or something else? Why does it have short range? Does your wlan adapter supports ...

Re: raspberry pi cant SSH

Are you connected to the same wireless access point? Sometimes there is an user separation in accesspoints to disallow communications between clients. So you have same ip ranges on your raspberrypi and your computer, or have you two separate ranges with a gateway in between? Have you tries to ping e...

Re: Motion web stream security

The easiest way to get a ssl connection would be the program stunnel. It is a ssl proxy which would open a new port and accept ssl connection, if someone connects it will forward all traffic locally to your stream port. Some example of configuration can be found here: http://www.ubuntugeek.com/stunn...

Re: Motion web stream security

I think in motion.conf all lines with # or ; are disabled. Have you tried to remove the ; form the line with stream_authentication? Just to be sure: You have compiled motion on your own or installed it from the repository with apt-get? I think the version from the repository does not include the str...

Re: Streaming Raspberry Pi Camera H264 into HTML over RTMP

Could you change the option -t -1 to -t 0 in the raspivid command? You can try, if raspivid is creating a video file first and try to play the output. raspivid -t 0 -w 960 -h 540 -fps 25 -b 500000 -vf -o test.h264 omxplayer test.h264 (you need to kill it using Ctrl+c after some time) And if the outp...

You could just try to disable it in the raspivid/raspistill program: The corresponding MMAL paramters are MMAL_PARAMETER_ALGORITHM_CONTROL_ALGORITHMS_VIDEO_DENOISE MMAL_PARAMETER_ALGORITHM_CONTROL_ALGORITHMS_STILLS_DENOISE MMAL_PARAMETER_ALGORITHM_CONTROL_ALGORITHMS_TEMPORAL_DENOISE so you could cre...

Re: Raspicam Remote - view Pi camera on Android

You could use bluetooth PAN for networking (if your android phone supports it). But the bandwidth is too small to receive a video stream. Bluetooth v2.0 + EDR has a practical data transfer rate of about 2.1 Mbit/s (~269 kB/s). One full frames would take several seconds. I use bluetooth with PAN to r...

Re: raspistill signal mode / close down after second SIGUSR1

It works as expected. But you have not specified -t, it is set to 5s by default. raspistill will exit after 5s(or more precise after the first time it gets a signal/keypress after the timeout). You should set "-t 0" to disable this timeout.

Re: Circular buffer functionality

I'm afraid the preview is live. The only way I can think of to delay preview for any appreciable time would be to encode the data, store it in a buffer, and replay it at the delay period. This wouldn't be possible in 1080p30 as you will run out of GPU horsepower (encode/decode at same time). You mi...

Re: Circular buffer functionality

I'm not sure why this is required? What specifically is it you are trying to do ? Gordon It is not required at all, it is just a small enhancement. I just would prefer a more generic method, your implementation is for a very specific use case. You can only take a video of prior defined fixed length...

Re: Capturing pre-trigger

can i stop the video capture and pause/resume in the middle by external trigger? It depends, not with the circular buffer, but with just the keypress or signal event. If you use only -k it will toggle between capturing and not capturing. so you can i.e. hit the enter key after 5 sec, 10sec and 15 s...

Re: Circular buffer functionality

Thank you for the nice new feature, a circular buffer is a really useful. I have modified your code a bit to be able to specify a time duration before and after getting a signal or keypress. It will fill the circular buffer, after getting the signal or keypress, it starts to write the new frames dir...

Re: Capturing pre-trigger

Can you check if you will find the option -c in the list, when you just execute raspivid without arguments? Are you sure your version of raspivid is new enough? Have you compiled raspivid from git. I think it is the usual behaviour if raspivid does not know an argument.

Re: Permanently turn AWB off

The mentioned program uses the video port to capture yuv images to a buffer. It will not work for the still port. Have tried to set it in raspistill in the same way as the shuter speed and for i.e. only red backgrounds it gets gray again. So he awb can't be disabled like this for the still port.

With these it was really easy to modify the source to reach my goal. My modifications can be found here: http://www2.geo....
