Re: NEW: Darkplaces Quake engine up and running on Raspberry

Would a Quake/Raspberry Pi based CTF be too much to ask for in the future? :)

Great job! Thanks

Re: BrowserQuest

@DougieLawson,

I'm curious.. Were you able to get the "/server/js/main.js" to answer requests on port 8000?

I'm still hunting for a solution to this.. I've even restarted from scratch.

Thanks

Re: BrowserQuest

I followed all the instructions.. I'm unable to get a "health status" from the server on port 8000, but I can access the client on 8080. Naturally, I can't got further than entering my name as the server isn't found. Has anyone else had better luck with this?

Thanks
Jeff

Re: BrowserQuest

Cool! Doing this right now.. I used Google Translate to convert your instructions to English.

I'm in the ./configure & make steps.. It's been a while compiling. I'm thinking it might be time to brew some tea? :)

Re: RetroPie + apps+fastdosbox

You might consider using rpix86, which is quite a bit faster than dosbox and can easily launch program executables from the raspberry pi console.

Re: A couple Pistore development questions

Update on this... We had a little back and forth (CAP failed!) to get this to the Pi Store. Each of our CAP failed messages included very detailed notes and suggestions on ways to improve the app. We were able to learn through the process and the third time was ticket! It's up! http://store.raspberr...

A couple Pistore development questions

We submitted our father/daughter app last night, and found the pistore interface to be very straightforward! Nice system! I'd like to encourage other developers to consider using the pistore. It was painless. A couple questions. 1) How do we "verify" out Paypal account? We have entered our data, but...

Voice Command by Steven Hickson is probably what you are looking for.

Here's a little write-up I did (with links) after I combined it with "heyu" x10 control a couple weeks ago.

Re: Rachel-Pi anyone ?

I originally gleaned it from somewhere on these forums, but here's my short notes on it.

My notes were for youtube, but after reading this thread, I tested it against the w3.org HTML-5 video page and it worked fine.

Re: Rachel-Pi anyone ?

I've been lurking the educational threads, as I'm a former educator.. In regard to HTML-5 video, I've been able to successfully use the Minimal Web Browser (kweb) combined with youtube-dl, and omxplayer to play html 5 videos. (play button at the top of the page) Not sure if it helps. but this commen...

Pate uinput is a linux kernel module that allows to handle the input subsystem from user land. It can be used to create and to handle input devices from an application. It creates a character device in /dev/input directory. uinput allows one to insert keystrokes from python, c (and probably other la...

Pate,

Any chance you could allow uinput module data to enter Rpix86? This would open the door to all kinds of keyboard substitutes to be used.

Thanks

Re: rpix86 (Raspberry Pi x86 emulator) version 0.15 released

I'm still battling joystick use on rpix86. I couldn't get the xbox360 wired controller to work. (Yes, it works in other places) Today I'm attempting to get a USB to PC Joystick adapter to work. I can see it's discovered in place at /dev/input/js0 Has anyone else here managed to get any joystick to w...

I was reading through the DexOS website tonight. Very promising.. It's on my todo list now.

It could however really use a condition statement "if" for the GPIO.

Looking for neat project? Voice control with Raspberry Pi.

One of my favourite parts of science fiction has always been computers which would listen to voice commands... Picard enters the room.. "Computer, lights.." I was able to replicate this on my Raspberry Pi using just few pieces of hardware I had already. (and by combining two software projects) Hardw...

Confirmed.. replicated the key crash on a Logitech 400 wireless keyboard.

Hadn't seen that, as it takes two keys to hit the keypress here.

Is it possible to redirect audio from rpix86 to a USB audio device? Perhaps it might be possible to see improved sound by this method?

Talk to me about your audio connection..

Is it a connection plugged into your headphone jack on the Pi or HDMI?
