Re: Recycling old electronics for PI's benefit

I have my samples - heck that was quick.

Either of those mentioned will do the job - I cant be sure until I get a pi to try it on.

Re: Recycling old electronics for PI's benefit

Personally I plan to use ready made PCB fittings manufactured by Richco.

All I need to do is make a hole in the case then.

Re: Model A - will the missing components have their holes filled?

<t>No it's not,Having spec'd PCB's that have run into 100k+ runs I think that its a point that may need mentioning to the manufacturers that they need to leave the unused PTH pads unfilled.<br/> <br/> Once they are manufactured its too late, if this is to be for educational use then it needs to be a...

Re: Model A - will the missing components have their holes filled?

<t>I have a question that Liz may want to ask the manufacturers.<br/> <br/> Generally when PTH components such as the USB and Ethernet connectors are not fitted to a board, the PCB pad holes will get filled with solder (unless they are covered in peelable masking) which then makes their later additi...

Re: Post Pi Launch Snag List (questions not venting)

At 6:30 I went back to sleep as like many others that have not been able to order one of the first - I had work to go to so could not sit around waiting for a website to come back to life.

The Pi killed the internet on Wednesday - simples.

Hi, I'm Matt and I'm in the UK.

I'm here because my son wants to get one of these so I want to help him.

If anyone wants to use the CADSTAR Express PCB program to make add ons I can help explain how to use it.
