Cheers.

It will likely go back down in the cellar for another 6 months before I can look at it again. :)

Interfacing to a PCLD-785B ?

HI, while rooting through my junk I have found one of these: http://www.ucs.co.uk/pdf/PCLD-785.pdf Manual = http://downloadt.advantech.com/ProductFile/Downloadfile4/1-FUY5BT/PCLD-785B.pdf It is basically a 24 channel relay board that uses a 5V/TTL control logic. How would I drive this using the Pi? ...

Re: PCB Prototyping offer

Turns out the circuits is not in CADSTAR format - however I have a hankering to convert it into that format lol.

Does the foundation have any objections to it being redone in another software with forum suggested changes?

Re: suggested PCB changes

I love the size of this thing... some small thoughts: * The RCA video and 3.5 audio be removed. I don't think that would be popular with the people without HDMI TVs :P ;) Most certainly not popular! I don't know about the RCA but the audio socket is very much needed for many applications. Handheld ...

Re: Screw holes / Mounting the Raspberry Pi

There are few locations on this that mountings can be fitted, however a look on the Richo website shows some possible mounts depending on your individual case. (Samples are available). This is about the best mount that I can suggest. http://www.richco.co.uk/catalogimages/TCEHCBS.gif It can fit on a ...

Re: Design flaw? Polyfuses for USB current limiting

Problems like this and how many units have been shipped?

Are the foundation team having any of these problems? and is there another model to be made that changes how the USB is powered?

I think I also have several K of 47uF 16v caps and other bits too.

Perhaps I ought to dig em out and list em - I'm never going to use all those alone.

Mee too - one XXL and one medium.
(one that fits and one that I can only dream of fitting into :) )

I'd buy one. (Farnell never came through).

I spotted those but I did not buy them because I can get 1m HDMI leads for a pound each at poundland.
And they work perfectly well.

(just adding another option for people).

Return to forum above/board index?

Any chance of also having these buttons at the top?
Being used to most other forums having them at the top this is where many will instinctively go to do the same.

Micro switches anyone?

Micro switches - like the B3F - or the same as seen in the video about using the GPIO on the front page? You know the beast? errr. I'm not sure how to say this - but I have over 2000+ of them (surplus stock from pre lead free times). Any suggestions how I can give these away to hobbyists? (not all i...

Re: Eben gives a demo video?

get one yourself, I have a life ta. If you go and buy a TV and are told it comes with a remote, when you get it home and it does not have one you'd be a bit peed off. You'd complain at the store and likely get given a remote and the manager would say that the staff would be reminded not to say thing...

Re: Does anywhere sell an SD card with a preloaded XBMC?

Thank you for the replies. I have been looking at a few things tonight, we have a commodore 64 that he wanted to put it in, but its going to cost 30 euro for a keyboard converter -so that wont happen. might be better if I just setup the c64 instead - thats more my kinda computer - I know basic lol A...

Re: suggested PCB changes

If you put the Pi in a case you can always extend the connectors with short cables to chassis/case mounting connectors. That way you can also include a power switch, user changeable fusing, external power LED's etc. But I know what you mean - I would hope that there will be another version where it ...

Re: Eben gives a demo video?

Liz, thats a load of tosh! I am well versed with the term ship and its usage. I am not splitting hairs here. If you do not currently ship with everything then it IS misleading to say so. If you do not ship with the OS - do not say you do. Saying things like that is akin to salesmen, they will say an...

Hello Thetap - thank you for your offer.

Re: Does anywhere sell an SD card with a preloaded XBMC?

I tried making my own image, ended up making a mess of my laptop - I have early onset old farts syndrome and have a really big problem remembering things (I'm no spring chicken) so almost losing all my passwords was horrible. All attempts at following the instructions to put the image on the SD card...

Hello, since getting a Pi it has sat on the coffee table after the first setup and test. Without a media player I can see its going to sit there a tad longer.
