Re: Google add a Raspberry Pi device tree to Android repo

my android phone lasted 1 month due to it forcing me to view adverts all the time. Google after all wants to make lots of money out of you You're probably refering to the add's in the apps. Which is a choice of the developer to implement. When an app is free, it doesn't mean the developers are (the...

Re: Youtube-dl Segmentation fault

I've used:

Code: Select all

sudo wget https://yt-dl.org/downloads/2016.05.21.2/youtube-dl -O /usr/local/bin/youtube-dl
sudo chmod a+rx /usr/local/bin/youtube-dl
I also reinstalled youtube-dl, but I get the exact same error. :(

Youtube-dl Segmentation fault

Hello everyone I'm trying to use youtube-dl from a php page. First youtube-dl worked fine from the command line, but I had to change something with groups for the www-data group. In php I also got "* failed to open vchiq instance", so i did: echo 'SUBSYSTEM=="vchiq",GROUP="video",MODE="0660"' > /etc...

Here's the (crude) drawing. :)

If you touched the contacts to long, it could burn the chip on the hub.

I have tried all yours suggestions. From changing the USB cable to a micro USB on hub to adding the USB power to the hub, nothing is working. This is the diagram that I'm using http://i.stack.imgur.com/n1B1i.jpg You can remove the power connector and connect VCC and GND to the data connector. The R...

Re: Two WebUI

Yes you can. You can use subdirectories, so you have something like: IP/page1 IP/page2 Or you could use internal/external domainnames and use apache to choose which file to select. This should give you some insight. https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-apache-virtual-hosts-...

Re: voeding Raspberry

Re: Create high frequency digital data signal over gpio

As stated here, the maximum speed of toggling a GPIO pin in linux is 22MHz. The only language it'll maybe work is C with direct memory acces.
Otherwise you'll need bare metal (running with no linux). ;)

The raspberry pi zero doesn't have a power led. It only has a activity led.
Have you made/inserted an SD card with an OS?

Re: Aantal programma's....

This is what happens around here: I borrow the mouse, keyboard and screen from my desktop PC and connect them to a Pi. I boot the thing up and configure whatever I like. I put the mouse, keyboard and screen back to my PC. From then on I talk to my Pi over the LAN using ssh. Well, because ssh is ena...

Oops, didn't thought of that one. (It's pretty useless without) :P
P.S. 2A should be enough, if you don't connect many devices to the pi.

Re: Worth it?

Does it really require all these things just to get started with the Raspberry Pi? No it doesn't. The only things you really need are a raspberry pi, an SD card and an ethernet cable. If you'll by a RPi 3, the Ethernet cable is only for first setup, after that you can use the build in wifi. Or is i...
