Re: How would you use a Raspberry Pi device?

I'm thinking of using one as a CD Ripping appliance, which will run flac/cdparanoia and a musicbrainz lookup to auto-tag and rip any CDs I put into my USB CD Drive. May even network it with my server for distributed processing (it rips, server encodes)

I thought a large number of DVB-T cards worked under Linux (given the card is identified correctly and the firmware is uploaded to them)?

Indeed. I\'m hoping Francis Spufford has to write another chapter for \"The Backroom Boys\" as a result of this endeavour!

I love Qt Develop... It is an IDE, but feels lightweight.

Was that for audio? Them 2.5mm diameter cables are atrocious. Anything thicker is generally better but there's a limit and that why Monster Cables are pointless :)

Re: Raspberry Pi Bootup Sound Discussion

That alpha board had no speaker, but we could use that audio out...? Failing that a low wattage speaker on the GPIO could do something, no? Switch it on/off at 440Hz for Concert \'A\', and send the other side to ground...

Here, you don't need to ask RasPi to add RAM, you can download some here: http://www.downloadmoreram.com

Sounds good - anyone know what the noise floor is for the RasPi? (ie top sound cards have ~ -102db noise floor, I wouldn't expect better from the RasPi but it'd be interesting to know)

And on another note - any pictures of Mooncake?
