OS taking a lot of space?

When I started using the pi around 6 GB of space was already used, probably for the OS and the preinstalled software. I was just wondering if this was normal, since I have used a gigabyte of space now, half of that from doing sudo apt-get update. I was surprised that a small os like this, and its pr...

Re: How to calibrate the Magnetometer

I think you should change 22. for my pi it is like this: /home/pi/astro-pi-hat/examples

It has the 'pi' bit too.

Hi, I have been a fan of the raspberry pi for years, ever since I was 9 infact, and now I have managed to win in the astro pi contest and get a free astro pi kit! I have an old model b pi that I used (and still do) to use and it tended to use a good amount of cpu if there were any resource hungry so...

need some Ideas

I'm going to be getting a raspberry pi soon and I'm thinking of making a program where you connect a USB to your telescope and another usb for the camera (webcam or any other type of camera) and the program moves the telescope (if it has a equatorial mount) to take pictures of the sky. and then the ...

Re: Ubuntu on Raspberry Pi

Personally I'm a big ubuntu fan. and I hope that ubuntu could be bothered enough to make a version of ubuntu for the pi. the specs are 512mb ram at minimum and guess what? model b have 512 mb of ram. ubuntu could easily make a version for the pi and it would be very quick and easy. although one thin...
