how to analyse images from results of pi camera?

Hi, I am thinking of trying to analyse each frame/image I take with the program to see and high amounts of infa red light using the pi NOIR so it can analyse it as a anomaly and then take a closer look at it or even crop the image afterwards and its supposed to do it after every frame in the timelap...

ok, so I have put the noir in the right slot but its asking me to check the connections because it isnt working.. going to take off the hat once again..

just tested, it doesnt work, the red light is on but its not detected, even though the other one is
tomorrow I will try to use the other camera slot just in case.

I will try take the normal camera out and use the noir first and see if it works. otherwise yes, I may do that.

I have checked and they both are working perfectly fine, but I strangely cant use the noir.

pi Noir camera not detected but normal pi camera is.

Hi, when I do the usual command to take a picture with the cameras, it only takes a picture with the normal pi camera. Is this because I am only telling it to take a picture using that specific camera? how do I make it take a picture with noir? I'm using the usual terminal method of taking the pictu...

hi, before I was talking about the pi and pi noir camera problem and I was told to do sudo apt-get update and upgrade which I found out later meant I couldnt use the hat because the software used to detect it (or firmware, etc) wasnt there, so I was told to do these commands wget https://www.raspber...

It looks like I will have to download the original drivers and kernel modules. Do you have the tar file? I know how to install tar files using cd command.

Is one of the problems with upgrading distro = led board not functioning properly (stays on multicolored bit).

For the pi noir either way I connect the camera it doesnt detect it, also the exposed (the bit with the metal bits you can see) was facing the ethernet socket and there was a red light on the pi noir.
