Re: Pre-programmed SD cards?

There are companies that will duplicate SD cards - and put your labels on them. I expect they can put them in pretty plastic cases as well.

The GPL forbids making a profit on the distribution of the OS doesn't it?

It was published a few weeks ago, try searching the forum or looking in the wiki.

It doesn't have everything but it seems to have a lot of what's useful.

I don't think that Farnell's delivery charges are at all excessive.  It's £3 plus VAT. A lot of sites charge far more.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the confirmation emails were blocked by spam filters.

Re: Farnell UK - link for ordering

I don't think that Farnell are ripping me off in the UK.  They are charging me just under £30 and by the time you add 20% VAT it looks as if they are charging about £2.50 for shipping.  That seems pretty reasonable to me.

Re: Listing of Fedora apps are "lite enough" for the RPi?

My background is Windows where it isn't usual to load sources and compile it yourself.

Wouldn't the Pi compatible applications be identified by having been compiled for the Pi? If they haven't they aren't in the list - or in in a different way?

I wonder if sending 100,000 emails has triggered a lot of spam filters.

Apparently it says the same as is on the front page.
