Re: Use your Anroid as a Wi-Fi Dongle

Sorry to bother you guys again. I entered the "sudo nano" command. I can edit the text file that comes up but when I go to exit nano it says that "the file or directory does not exist" so I am unable to save. By the way I tried both the /usr and the /ect paths.

Re: Use your Anroid as a Wi-Fi Dongle

When I type in sudo ipconfig it tells me "command not found". I'm stuck because I can't update or anything because I don't have the Internet. If anyone could help that would be great.

Using a Android smartphone for internet

Can someone explain to me how to use my phones wireless lan (wi-fi) connection on my Raspberry Pi? I own a Samsung Replenish running Gingerbread 2.3.6. I would have to use it over usb as I don't own a bt dongle.

Re: Froyo on the Pi?

How would I get the drivers? Would I need to talk to Broadcom?

Ok so I was surfing the web and I found this http://www.mc-server.org/ Is it possible to use this on the Pi? Can it change the lag situation since it does not use java?
