You will have to rebuild NOOBS and include a driver for the gamepad. @prinam - it is not necessary to put your SD card in your computer in order to configure your Pi to connect to the internet. I assume your computer runs Windows since you can only see the 1st 2GB FAT partition on the SD card, so it will actually be more difficult to set the internet connection this ...

Just download a previous version of noobs for openelec. The full path to v1.3.9 is http://downloads.raspberrypi.org/NOOBS/ ... v1_3_9.zip. You could use this as is, or copy the os/openelec folder onto you 1.3.10 sdcard.

You'd be better off using an Arduino to interface any such keyboard to a PC (or anything else with a USBport). There are many tutorials on the web. Google lufa and/or vusb + usb +keyboard for examples. Even if you still want to do this on a RPi, use a cheap arduino for the usb slave interface.

Sounds good. I didn't know you could have 2 wifi connections using DD-WRT. I have an ASUS WL-500gx router that I hacked with Oleg's software, but I don't think that allows 2 simultaneous wifi connections. Maybe it's a peculiarity of the Linksys & dd-wrt.

Using the router would be equivalent to plugging a single wifi dongle into the Pi, and you already dismissed that, thinking you need two - one for the AP network and one for the free wifi access network. So your router can act as a wifi client to connect to your free wifi AND as a wifi access point to connect to your smartphone at the same time, can it? Are you sure?

You can download the other os's from downloads.raspberrypi.org. Put the folders in /os of your noobs card. Or you can copy them from an old noobs v1.3.9 download.
